Blue Nomad, LLC Releases Mac OS X edition of BackupBuddy 2 for Palm Powered Mobile Devices

BackupBuddy 2 brings enterprise-class backup technology to Palm Powered Mobile Devices and computers running Mac OS X

Santa Monica, Calif. September 14, 2005 - Blue Nomad, LLC today announced the immediate availability of the Mac OS X edition of BackupBuddy 2 for Palm Powered handhelds and smartphones.

BackupBuddy 2 uses a unique process for maintaining a complete history of any given device's files and settings so that users can restore individual files or their entire device to any previous point in time with the simple click of a button, a process called ZoomBackTM. BackupBuddy 2, when used with a Palm Powered device, provides a complete backup solution for both consumer and enterprise customers. BackupBuddy 2 for Mac OS X contains all the features present in its Windows counterpart and works both with the MissingSync from MarkSpace, as well as with the standard HotSync software as supplied by PalmOne.

"We are very excited to bring our advanced backup and restore technology to the Mac platform. Mac users can now benefit from the features previously only available on the Windows platform. Mac users need not ever fear loosing any data knowing that BackupBuddy is keeping track of each and every change that they make to their devices, and can restore them to working condition with the press of a button," says Alexis S. Hinds, CEO of Blue Nomad.

"This is wonderful news for Mac owners with Palm OS handhelds and smartphones," said Brian Hall, president and CEO or Mark/Space, Inc., maker of The Missing Sync for Palm OS. "BackupBuddy goes well beyond simple backup and restore and our customers are certain to find BackupBuddy an indispensable tool for securing the personal and business data that they store on their handhelds and smartphones."

Palm OS is known for the power and flexibility of its sophisticated, easy-to-use interface. As the foundation for the 30 million mobile devices sold to date, Palm OS platform provides an open, modular architecture that allows licensees including Aceeca, AlphaSmart, Fossil, Founder Technology, Garmin, GSL, HuneTec, Kyocera, Lenovo, palmOne, PerComm, Samsung, Sony, Symbol Technologies and Tapwave
