What do use your CF/SM/MMC memory for?

I got my FlashPlus module yesterday, along with 13 16MB, and 1 32MB CF cards. With a recent upgrade to 8MB on the board, I'm having trouble filling up some memory. I can use memory for apps, so what are some good free programs I can use to fill these bad boys up?

Also, my F+ came with a few extra programs that the manual (read=piece of paper) didn't decribe. VFS Helper, FAMemMa (which says I have 701K memory available on the module itself-?). Wondering what these can do.

I'm really pleased thus far, unlike with my Minstrel fiasco.

First off, for free software, go to <http://www.freewarepalm.com/>. Not terribly well organized, and does have pop-up ads, but everything there is free, and a lot of it is even worth the price you pay for it.

On my flash card, I have lots of apps -- I use Launcher X (requires 3.5, but Launcher III doesn't and is almost as good) -- and over 10MB of pictures for SplashPhoto (from <http://www.splashdata.com/> ).

Mapopolis works (or used to, in earlier versions -- probably still does) great with the FlashPlus. MobileDB does not, unfortunately. WordSmith does.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. How good do the free Mapopolis maps look? I'm really not in a situation where I can pay for maps that I won't use a lot.

Just got BackupBuddyVFS:Free and it rocks. Wordsmith is great, I bought a copy a couple years ago.

I got rid of my handspring backup module and used the backup app that came with my memplug to backup my prism to my smart media card (the memplug backup was better anyway), .. That and what ever I could get onto the card and have it run from it is what I put there.. I had a Prism and a SM Memplug w/64mb card.. The nice thing was I could swap the smart media card directly from my digital camera into the memplug to view the pictures since they both used the same type of flash memory cards. I would also use my PC card reader/writer to put new programs and doc files directly onto the card, bypassing the need to use hotsync to install them, that alone was a nice side benefit.

Nothing...

I did a 16meg upgrade to my Prism via Alex Wang and since then find little to no use for my 128MB SD card and Memplug SD. If anyone wants to buy it, let me know!
