Happy Treo 600 user, so far. Thanx Cingular for having an unlocked phone.

My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.

I found this interesting:
"The move may prove discomforting to fans of Handspring's Visor organizers... Hawkins is nonetheless confident that Handspring can hold the attention of enthusiasts while it figures out the best way to navigate the carrier-centric world of the cell phone industry. "
--------------------
Suggests to me that Handspring will still be offering the Visors (at the great reconditioned prices) for awhile so the attention of "enthusiasts" (that's us, I think) can be held. It may even be a way of suggesting they are going to try to keep at least one little finger in the pie.

Now, if I could figure out what it means to turn into a "commodity" (like pork and wheat?), I'd feel less confused.

Overall, it is just painful to see what happens to otherwise creative people when they get caught in the corporate "we've got a board of directors and stockholders to kiss first" mentality.
