Anyone with Palm m500?

I seem to see and hear nothing about the Palm m500 but is it a decent substitute for the Palm III and V series? There is a special offer from Epocrates for this machine at $279 which seems reasonable compared to the usual price of $329. It seems much smaller than the b/w Clie which looks huge.
Any experience with this machine?
By the way I still have my original black Vdx and love it.
