Ironic that you should mention someone who used to work in a patent office, and would have likely had the sense to throw your patent application in the garbage. And just to eliminate your imbecilic retort about topicality, no, no, and no.

Inventorb,

I'm going to say this for the LAST time: PLEASE DO NOT MODERATE THIS DISCUSSION!!! James, ToolkiT, Hoser, and myself are quite capable, thank you.

Everyone,

I will not tolerate personal attacks from one member to another. The post quoted above is treading on very thin ice. Another one like it and I will close the thread.

Additionally, if the sole purpose of this thread is for entertainment, there's no need for it to continue. While I do understand the satirical theme underlying most of the posts here, it is close to getting out of hand. Please, stay on-topic or yet another thread will be closed.

While I enjoy a good chuckle every once in a while, I still have a job to do here...

oops!

Opps! Mark, you forgot Marcus!! He moderate's to..

I will bring this back on subject by answering the questions without furthur comment.

1. It does not improve the visor, it merly protect's it. It's like a case. The case doesn't do anyhting to IMPROVE the visor, it's merly there to protect.

2. If your going to resell your visor (which I hope you would NEVER do,, (except sell one to me )), the better condition the visor is in, the higher it will sell. So the screen protector does add to the resale value, by protecting from scratches.

3. no. Just as long as you say it's in good condition, that's all people need to know.

Inventorb, Mark is right. Watch out with the "take a hike" digs.

James:
Make your point. I'm not shy What do you have to say to the person (troll) that
comes on this site just to start crap? This is my forum under your supervision, and
others. In my forum I would like to stay on point (the issues).
Please stop un eventful interruptions.

Has this Improved your Visor?

1. Does a Screen Protector (Any Brand, any make ,or model). improve your Hand Held Computer?
2. Does a Screen Protector (Any Brand, any make ,or model). improve your resale value of your Visor?
3. Is it beneficial to tell everyone (if selling) that your Visor has always used a Screen Protector, and that the face plate is like new?

Thank You
Inventor

Inventorb,

James' point is simple: this is NOT your forum. This is a VisorCentral forum. If you don't like the way it's being moderated, feel free to move the discussion to your own web site. I suggest you read the VisorCentral Terms of Use page, especially the line that reads:

quote:
IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THIS WEB SITE, OR ANY PORTION THEREOF, YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY SHALL BE TO CEASE USING THE WEB SITE.

I'm pretty sure that this forum belongs to VisorCentral, or their parent company.

Update: I guess MarkEagle has the same feelings. Weird how we posted the same thing at the same time .

Angry Strike three?

James and MarkEagle,

How many chances does Inventorb get? He has repeatedly ignored the rules, insulted people, posted meaningless replies, and generally caused trouble in this forum.

I'd say revoke his privileges. I will no longer read or respond to any of his threads, nor any he participates in.

Enough is enough.

You guys are mean (even some of the moderators).

I think that there is a double standard here. If another poster told inventorb to "go away" he would probably not be told to stop acting like a moderator. But, when inventorb says it, stand back!

He started off nice and pleasant. If you don't want to interact with him don't respond to him.

You don't need to correct grammar.

You don't need to correct spelling or mock someone when they mistype.

If someone responds too often with "thank you", just politely let them know how often to do it.

I realize that there is a long history here. Let it go already.

There is no double standard here. It's not the "go away" that's the problem, it's the context in which it is used. And, yes, the history has everything to do with it.

if inventorB would only have said "go away" once there would have been no problem, however he has the tendancy to want to rule the discussion. This is the job of the moderators and not inventorB. This is the VisorCentral Forum, and not the InventorB forum... if he wants that he can set it up on his own website...

true, he started off in the right way (in this thread). Also true that it is better to ignore him if you don't like him than to start another flamewar...

You don't need to, but it helps, especially if you claim to be proffesional... Also the grammar/spelling mistakes in inventorB make it sometimes hard to understand him....

'I don't think so Tim' IMHO he just says this to irritate people. This is NOT OK!

There has been a long history indeed and InventorB has played a BIG part in it himself...

This is, quite possibly, the single funniest thread I've seen in a LONG time!
I didn't click the "Has this Improved your Visor?" thread anticipating entertainment, but that's certainly what I've come away with.
If you disagree, play this whole scene out in your mind as if it were a scene from a movie. Replace the semi-anonymous posts with dialogue, and we have ourselves a comedy!

It's funny to see what lengths some people will go to for attention and/or a reaction.
Keep that in mind when replying to absurd posts. Including this one! =)

now you mention it, it does sound a bit like a seinfeld episode doesn't it?
I'm glad someone got something positive out of this thread

Exclamation Warning

As Mark said, you do not own any forum on this site. If you have a problem with the exchange of information here, why don't you create a forum on your website for feedback? Or, if you like, VisorCentral could possibly create (for a hefty fee) a "VSPS Screen Protectors discussion" forum that you alone can moderate. I'm sure you'd get plenty of great ideas.

I do not like the manner in which you are soliciting feedback in our forums. A company asking about a specific feature in an upcoming product (such as Thincom did) is fine, but at least they let you know the purpose of the question and who they represented. You are engaging in general discussion without any disclamer that you make screen protectors yourself -- Do so in the future. We will be updating our forum agreement soon to reflect this position.

Telling forum moderators what do do is a great way to get kicked off the forum for good. You may have noticed the Terms of Use link at the bottom of each page. I will have no problems with terminating your account should you act in this manner again.
