All I can say is the VisorCentral Store is great. I ordered the PDA penache stylus on the 7th and I got it today, the 10th. That's a three day turn-around including a sunday and I'm in california, 3000 miles away from them. BTW, The stylus is great incase you haven't heard, which I'm sure most everyone has =)

Yeah, I just happened upon it the day that it opened. They even sell the stylus at a discounted price, 11.95 I believe, as opposed to the normal 14.95. Here's the link to the stylus: http://store.visorcentral.com/product.php3?id=1

Thumbs up

The store looks great. Just one question; when will it be selling Handspring products?

I'd also like to see the Rhodina Visor Case be supported hopefully:P Right now I'm thinking about ordering a stylus from VisorCentral's store--but am waiting for my friend who will most likely get a Visor soon to tell me what he wants so we can dice up the shipping. $4.20 shipping is awfully exorbant for an $11PDA Visor Panache Styli

I want to pick up an Otterbox @ visorcentral's store. But--it says its on order. How long a delay should I expect? I can't find a e-mail for the store to ask the question--so hopefully it can get answered here.

Solid black Otter boxes (the ones in the store) will arrive later this week. So it should ship out to customers before Friday. In addition, some with plastic top and black bottom will also be available.

The Rhodina Visor Case should be available through the store early next week.

Adam B: Handspring currently has "no announced plans" on letting 3rd party online retailers sell their products.

That Otter box, is it cushy enough on the inside to be able to toss it around?

It's cushy enough only when you add some custom padding inside so the visor doesn't slide around inside. Cut out a piece of foam that will hold the visor and maybe some batteries and trust me, if you make the foam a good fit with the visor and the otterbox, the roaches will have company in a nuclear blast.

Also note that the clear top versions don't have a foam lining on the cover-side. It looks nicer but may not offer indestructo protection needed.

I have 2 OB's and use it to protect other things when I go camping, hiking, sailing, etc.

You can't really go wrong even if you don't use it for the visor....

Hmmm...my last posting kinda brought up an interesting thought.

How open would VisorCentral be to postings about other places that people can get certain items for cheaper prices? Before the VisorStore opened, this was a good site to ask "where can I get the cheapest xxxxx?" How would VC react to a posting about a product that was cheaper at a competitor's site?

Nhatman,

I don't feel that VisorCentralStore is going to change what or what not is allowed to be posted here. For one thing, that would be a sure way to drive a lot of folks out of the community (I would be one of them). I am sure that Marcus and the rest of the VC staff that are working on the store will be doing their best to bring us the best items at the lowest prices. If anything those type posts should motivate Marcus and co. to investigate and possibly try to compete.

What I imagine will happen is that once there is a slew of people posting where to buy things (be it at VC or elsewhere) there will either be a specific "Bargains" forum or the Buy/Sell/Exchange forum would be renamed to take both.

Cool

I agree, the VisorCentral Store is a class act.

I ordered a Panache stylus on the 13th, and by the 15th it was in my hot little hand. Now that's service!

And at a discounted price to boot.

A quick note to buyers still waiting on their packages.

We are expecting a large delivery of WriteRights and Slipper Visor cases (without the clip) today, so many packages will go out tonight.

Slipper Visor w/ Clip is still on order from EB Cases - no firm date has been given.

Recent GoType orders will ship on Wednesday

We are out of stock of Custom Visor Stylus - Black (wow they sold fast), but should arrive later this week.

However, 40 or so Custom Visor Stylus - Chrome is still in stock.

Stowaway should ship around May 1st.

RhinoPak 1100, Slider hard case, and Zip Case Deluxe will be in stock later this week.

That's about it for now. We will continue to add more Visor products to the store as they become available. This week we will concentrate on keeping all the items available from the store in stock so we can ship packages immediately.

I too would like to praise VisorCentral's Store! I ordered 2 Otterboxes and 2 PDA Panaches (a friend and I are splitting shipping) on the 12th. When I ordered it immediately said that the PDA Panache Black (few am I glad I got into the batch before you had to reorder this week) would not be instock until Friday. My package shipped on Saturday and I received it today (Monday) via USPS Priority Delivery Confirmed! That was pretty quick shipping! I recommend the VSC to anyone.
