When using Delorme Solus 2.o and the Companion GPS the Solus software will loose contact with the GPS repeatedly (annoying as hell!!!). This happens regardless of whether you are using vector or bitmap maps. I've tried changing the update rate in the Companion to 3 seconds, 5 seconds, etc., with no effect. Anyone have any ideas? When you click on Solus GPS/Connect button, contact is reestablished immediately...for a while.

From what I've read in previous posts on this subject, there is apparantly a glitch in Solus when used with the GPS companion, and Delorme has not announced plans to fix it. You may have to stick with Nav & Map companion for a while.

Thanks for the info. I guess I can send Solus an e-mail and see if they have anything new to say. I'll post their reply if meaningful
