I was thinking that maybe some company could come up the a great module call "Pocket TV springboard." Using this plug and play module, users will be able to watch TV on their Prism. I don't think it would be hard to develop since many companies has already develop small TVs. The LCD is the most expensive part for small TVs, therefore this module could be around $50 or $70.

If I had time I would had liked to manage this project for now I just would like to hear some feedback.

Decent

View pcitures on the Prsim is great even with a 160x160 resolution. I think a TV would look good as well.

I would think that the problem would be to have a decent antenna.

Handheld TVs such as Sony's Watchman have a LCD screen that is similar in size to the Visor's. The resolution and grayscale/color abilities of the VPL and VPR should be able to handle it.

I wouldn't want to watch a 2-hour movie on it, but would use it to watch a breaking news story; such as who the next U.S. Prez will be!

You would have to somehow feed the signal through the springboard slot and have it displayed on the LCD. I wonder if that is possible? You also have to deal with the sound issue; I guess a headphone jack would suffice. Don't forget about the battery life either, my Sony color handheld TV (its a few years old) runs on 4 AA batteries, and doesn't last very long. That may be due to the screen, in which case it wouldn't have any more effect on the Prism's battery than normal use.

That's right, God forbid anyone take an interest in who's going to be running the country for the next four years. That's, like, so boring.

The TV tuner idea is neat... I can already hear people complaining about the form factor, though- I don't think the antenna, TV receiver, external battery, and video chip would all fit in a springboard-slot sized module.
