In your case, did you just rename the file prior to syncing to fix the problem?
I got it zipped (and it's a .prc in the zip file). To get it to a pdb, I opened it on a PC with Doc Reader, then saved it with no extension. It defaulted to .PDB, and was 2 bytes smaller (3933 as opposed to 3935).
When I HotSynced the PDB, it was corrupted, so I HotSynced the prc, and it was fine.
Very annoying. It seems to happen with all .pdbs.
