Someone said something about only 256 colors on the new Clie 2 screen in another thread. But on Sony's website in Japan there is no information about colors.
I think with this resolution and the powerful processor Sony would not include only 8bit color depth.
Maybe Sony waits for PalmOS 4 to support 16bit without any OS modification?
Or does the Clie's PalmOS already have modifications like 16bit support (like the Visor Prism)?
Or is Sony really so stupid to support only 256 colors on the Clie?
