I am getting poor reception in some locations. Is there anyway to improve reception with a new antenna or something?

Better reception with a Radio Shack antenna

This subject has been exhaustively covered in this forum earlier. Search on antenna or Radio Shack
or tinfoil.

My .02 is to buy a Radio Shack Samsung 1000/1900 replacement antenna for $9.95.
It screws right in the Minstrel S but cannot be retracted. I keep one handy for remote
areas as it doubles the apparent signal strength (RSSI) as seen on the Minstrel
self-test.
