Homemade SoundsGood Energy Clip
Some experiments with my SoundsGood module indicate that all it needs to run is power. I think that's all the energyclip did for it. So i'm in the process of making my own Energy Clip, which, as many of you know, is very difficult to find, and overpriced when you do.
I'll post more info. and a link when i get it complete, but this is basically the process:
I'm starting w/a dead visor for parts, basically what's left after i bought a Neo w/a broken screen and upgraded my Deluxe. I've cut it apart leaving the plastic for the springboard slot, the springboard connector itself (cut away all the rest of the circuit board), and the battery holder. I'm using some of the rest of the plastic to enclose and neaten up my case. If you track down the wiring of the springboard slot, you'll see two grounds and a power pin, so i'm soldering wires from the battery connectors to the springboard connector. All of this is careful, fine work.
My biggest concern is getting it neat enough so i won't be embarassed to use it.
