Question

I have been a Visor DLX owner since day 1 and I swear by it. However, I received as a promo reward a Casio E500 PPC, which I will use as a MultiMedia device. At home in order to use the casio, I disable the Hot Sync Manager. The Casio uses USB port. I tried using the Visor on a serial port. The Visor is not being recognized.
At my office, I am able to sync my visor.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks
Dave

when you installed your palm desktop and hotsync manager, did you install both USB and serial? And if you did, did you switch your hotsync manager to use serial?

If you did both of those, you may have the serial option in the hotsync manager set to the wrong com port.

One more silly idea.

Is the serial port you plugged the cradle into turned on in your bios?

It's happened to me a couple times where I've turned off one of the serial ports for some reason or other and forgot I did it.

Have you checked for an IRQ conflict? That will do it every time.
