Question

So how about it? Where do you live and through what channel did you get your Visor (Handspring web site/retailer)?

I'm sure the Visor is popular on both coasts, but how about fly over country?

Me? I'm in Indianapolis, IN and bought my BVD at Staples

Believe it or not, a lot of us out here in "fly-over country" actually own and use Visor's. Now if we'd just get electricity and indoor toliets we'd be set!

I think we should get the permanent housing down first, my camping tent is starting to look awfully shabby.

Here in Salt Lake, I know a lot of people who has palms, and no one owns a visor. Everyone thinks it's overpriced compared with the palm.

Here, near New Haven, CT, there's my IVDx (direct from handspring) and at least one other I saw being carried by a fellow in the local OfficeMax. I'm sure his was direct as well since that was 2-3 weeks ago.

p.s. I was in the local Staples today and saw "pictures" of the Graphite Standard and Deluxe models on the shelf... the red shirt said no actual product had been received as of yet... "they're late! Any day now... lot's of folks have been asking."

Here in Columbia, Missouri, I know of two Visors, both Deluxe. My Blue, purchased thru Handspring's website, and my wife's Ice, purchased at the Quincy, IL Staples.

And we both love them!

I'm from Houston, TX. My friend and I both purchased our Dlx's around the same time. All our friends are envious of us

I then advised the guy I do website work for to get one vs. a palm. He did and loves it!!!

Three and counting...

Cool

I live in Fredericksburg, VA (50 miles south of Washington, DC) and work in DC. So far mine is the only Visor I have seen. I have BVD. I do believe that we will be getting one for my wife within 6 months time. She just started a new company and is looking for something to augment her new Dell laptop.

Yeah, Houston seems to be pretty popular for the Visor

BTW Klayman, I grew up in Highlands, just a stone's throw away from Crosby.

Cool

Picked mine up at Best Buy in Dallas. I am the only one that I know of that has one. Though a lot of people are asking to look at mine!

Looks like Indy has the market cornered. My brother and I each have one. Two of my friends bought one after seeing mine. My office network administrator bought one since seeing mine. I therefore know of 5, based on personal knowledge. Also, my girlfriend knows two people at her office that have them. All were bought pre-retail, so they were bought from Handspring's site.
This brings the total in the Indy area to at least 9, including Vinny and IndyBVD.

Thumbs up

Well, I work at CompUSA in Salt Lake City, and we just got about 80 of the Visors in, and we are selling them like crazy. Probably about 5:1 compared to palms. I see a lot of people in here who have them looking for accessories also. If I had to guess I would say there are a couple thousand people in the Salt Lake area with them.

Thumbs up

Got my Graphite Visor Deluxe through the Handspring website in January for my birthday. Spouse didn't want one at the time, but now is chomping at the bit for the one he's getting for HIS birthday next month. We're in Seattle, WA. Haven't decided whether to buy next one from HS or from retail outlet. We really dislike CompUSA, which is the only place close to us. Folks where I work mostly have Palm devices (which are partially rebated by the firm) but really seem impressed by my Visor.

Ordered my Visor Deluxe (Vx? damn abbreviations!) in December on the Web, received it in January.
I am currently living in the Mid-West (IL), a couple of miles south of Chicago.

No Visor sightings at my local Staples yet.
I am still waiting for the long promised serial cable (or I'll finally give up and buy a serial cradle).
Anyway, I hope my *third* Visor will perform as expected...

Cool

Believe it or not, I've seen two (including my BVD) in South Korea! I'm in the military, stationed over here and got mine on-line from Handspring.

No, they don't ship to APO boxes, I had mine delivered to my family who mailed it out to me.

Chock up another Indy. Got mine through the website in January. Gonna jump over to Castleton Best Buy this afternoon to check out the retail scene. I know of at least one other guy that I go to school with here in Indianapolis with a GVDx.

Cool

Phoenix, AZ here - got my IVDx in January thru Handspring site. Our ads today show Visors available at Staples, CompUSA, and BestBuy - so, maybe I'll start seeing other users around. So far, I'm surrounded by Palms (trees and handhelds......)Lynne
