Question

Has anyone had their Visor's memory (any model) upgraded by outside companies? I'm very interested in having this done to my 2MB Visor and I'm looking for success (or horror) stories.

If you can, include the name of the upgraders in your reply.

Thanx a bunch!

I had mine done months ago by www.STNEcorp.com and have had no problems. Others have used www.palmpilotupgrade.com

What is the best company to go with? I have read over both sites and while STNE is cheaper, palmpilotupgrade appears to be more professional.

I spent $400 on my Prism, I don't wnat to get screwed.

A few people have had PPU do theirs. I would be interested in knowing if anyon has had STNE do their Prism. I see they just announced they are doing Platinums and Edges for $119.95 even though when I asked on monday, they said no.

I had Tony R. from PPU upgrade my Prism to 16MB and he did a great job, no complaints or problems!

PPU Worked for me

Tony upgraded my Prism from 8MB to 16MB and it works beautifully. I would definitely recommend his work. He even expedited delivery for me when I was called out of town on an unexpected trip. Had it back the next day.

Everything came back, just like I had shipped it. With one exception, it now had 16MB of RAM!!

Hope this helps you,

Jon

Thumbs up Had your Visor upgraded?

Tony Rudenko works miracles in upgrading.

He turned my Prism into a vivacious, robust power machine quickly, and it has performed FLAWLESSLY ever since.

How did we ever live before this?

Thumbs up

Thanx again to everyone who posted - looks like the two companies I had heard of were the choices, but I have to say I'm impressed with the recommendations for PPU. And for the 2MB to 8MB upgrade, the price is the same.

Looks like I got my answer.

And by the way - GO AVS! Man, is this year's race to Lord Stanley's Cup a great one. I'm hoping Avs/Sabres or Pens (sentimental favorite), but I bet the Devils make it to the finals. Any Eastern conference fans out there?

Anyway, here's to more brains for my little friend...
