About cases available to touch/feel in stores...
Here in MN the best selection I have found was in Circuit City, they have about 4-5 to choose from and some don't have the velcro problem. Lots of other office supply stores I've been to have cases, but most of them attach w/ velcro. Another forum said that the Handspring cases attach using the same connectors as the cover - has anyone heard about other manufacturers making cases similar to this?

I just ordered a couple of cases from RhinoSkins. I'm very happy with the quality and the service. In fact, I went ahead and ordered more cases for my wife's Visor for Xmas. I received both orders the day after I placed them so I can recommend them highly.

2 things:

1st, isn't having a flip-up case cover bad in that your cards, etc., will start to fall out after a while?

2nd, does anyone have comments on the slim case offered by Handspring (the $19.95 model)?

Can anyone speak for the cases located at http://www.rhodiana.com/products/palm/palm.html ? They seem interesting. I've sent an EMail to 'em to ask if they have any plans for production of a Visor model.

Case Recommendation: Franklin Covey's e-Pocket Cases- Toscano Leather.

I just bought this case from Franklin Covey and I recommend it. (www.franklincovey.com) Sorry I can't hyperlink...follow the links for PDA/Handheld solutions and then to cases... .

It's not specifically designed for the Visor, but seems to fit well. I attached the velcro strip to the Visor hard cover and then the visor to the cover itself. (footnote and thanks to other VC members for the suggestion). So far it has fit very securely. I also like the additional protection when I travel- I flip the Visor around for extra screen protection.

The case itself seems very well designed and is very professional looking. I like the additional feature of the small note pad for quick notes/phone numbers/ideas/etc.

The service was great- I ordered on the web at 1130 p.m. CST on Wednesday and received it (overnight Fedex) on Friday.

The only drawback is that it fits a bit "snugly" with the notepad- easily remedied by removing it when I don't need it. Also, while the Visor alone would fit perfectly, the hard cover sticks out about 1/16" on either end. It hasn't bothered me at all, however, and doesn't seem to lend itself to causing any damage. Just something to consider if that would bother you.
Overall, however, I love it!

For those of you considering a Franklin Covey case for you Visor, don't get their "Portfolio" model.

I know it's made for the Palm III's, but it uses clips to secure the device at the top and bottom. Since the Visor is only two-tenths of an inch longer than a Palm III, I tried it (anything to avoid velcro).

No dice. This is one case where size does matter, even if it's only two-tenths of an inch.

I had to send it back and ordered one from Handspring.

You may want to check out the new slipper case for the Visor at ebcases.com. It has the atvantage of syncing in the case...plus it looks fine.

ebcase just came out with new case and allows sync without having to remove the case. However, can anyone tell me if the beltclip will turn when I sit down?

Someone got the non-Deluxe and wanted to buy the case from a Deluxe-owner? I would be glad to sell mine, I will never use it. I just carry it in my pants pocket with only the screen cover, the case would just be extra bulk and friction. A belt-clip might be nice someday, but the leather case is useless to me. While waiting patiently for my VDx, I have been agonizing over what case to buy. Gotta be able to clip it to my belt, look very professional, Slim is definately better . . . On the other hand, what am I going to do with springboards? Finally it hit me! I am going to buy the very sleek ebcases slipper case with belt clip for most normal uses. AND for times when I would like to have springboards along (like traveling)I am going to get the Rhino 2000, which the Visor (in it's Slipper) should fit nicely .

Now, about spending the money . . . Rationalization complete! Who needs food anyway!

I think the the beltclip will turn when you sit down.
I use a simular looking system for my mobile phone and it work perfectly.

I'm not impressed by any PDA case that has a zipper. (Like many of the InCase designs)

There are many cases that I have reviewed for the Gadgeteer's web site and liked better. (see http://www.the-gadgeteer.com)

But I must say that I have yet to start the Visor case reviews. Should be coming soon.
