GPS software to go with Magellan GPS companion

I just bought the Magellan GPS compaion for my Visor deluxe. The softare the goes with it looks okay, but I was wondering if there is any other software out there that people recommend. I have briefly looked at Solus, Streetfinder, and Delorme StreetMaps (I think that is what it is called). Ideally I would like some software that is compatible with the MAgellan GPS (Which I think that all are) and

a) allows turn by turn directions if I plann a route and download it to the Visor
b) allows me to follow my route on maps as drive.
c) can create routes to follow on the palm (this might be stretching it)

All of the software listed above says it is compatible with a palm device, and with a GPS device, but what about a palm device that *IS* a gps device? Can anyone help? Is there any shareware that is recommended?
