Exclamation Black dots on screen! HELP!

In the top left corner of the screen there are some black dots or "Veins" that have appeared. They are there weather the visor is on or off. Is this repairable? I have had my visor for under a year. What is the best way to solve this?

Explain further. Are these black 'dots' individual pixels, are a 'glob', like ink would make? How big is it? Do you have a camera where you could scan some pictures in? Do you have a B&W Visor or a Prism?

If you've had it under a year, and have registered it, call Handspring. They are really good about things like this. They will send you a Brand-New (sometimes refurbed, though) Visor via overnight shipping, and give you two weeks to send the broken visor back, via pre-paid shipping.

They actually look like they are "veins" that come out of the top left corner. They only are about 1/2 inch long. They are there when it is on or off. Everything else works fine. There are 2 veins that extend downward and some small veins at the top.

I called Hanspring and after my 3rd transfer...they wanted my credit card number to even tell me if it was fixable or not. They wouldn't even tell me if it was returnable or whatever. I tried to explain the problem but she wouldn't talk to me unless I gave her a credit card number. No one seems to help.

I emailed them 2 different time and hope someone will respond that way. I have had it under a year. (Bought it in July 2001).

Any suggestions?

I finally talked with someone that was helpful and they are going to repair it for free.

But, over the weekend...the black dots have started to go away. They are over 50% gone. What gives?

There are no cracks on the screen or anything like that.

I just don't want to loose all my information. But maybe that will force me to get a backup module for safe keeping anyway.
