Heeeeeeeelp Pleeeease
It's okay.
I've got you.
You'll be fine.
Take a breath.
Soft Reset PDA (stick the thing in the hole).
Click on HotSync Manager.
Click Setup.
Click Network.
Your name should be checked here.
Close.
No?
e-mail me again and we'll go deeper into this evil thing.

In the XP thread a member stated:
quote:But Handspring says it's version of Palm Desktop doesn't yet support XP, though they expect a download by years end
Could this be the problem?

Help, Please
Hit "Start"
Hit "Find"
Enter "regedit"
Hit "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
Hit "Enum"
Hit "USB"
"VID_0000&PID_..." should be the only thing there.
If there's a "VID_" with digits., delete it and reboot the PC.
This flaw is in the relationship between PalmDesktop and individual computers.
A call to Handspring will help get rid of it if this doesn't work.

I too cant hotsync since doing a clean install of XP. I followed all of your directions and nothing works. Also, your directions to doing a registry edit dont make sense. I went to regedit and I dont have a enum key under local machine.
I have only gotten one response out of my computer since trying to hotsync. One time a error popped up that there was a problem with one of my USB devices. It showed a USB tree or something and showed unknow device I believe. I tried to search for drivers but it couldnt find anything. Is there some special driver that is supposed to get installed to recognize the unit? Wouldnt these come with the desktop software? Or is the problem that there is no XP compatible drivers available yet? I sure hope they are coming out with a fix and soon and I dont have to wait until the end of the year. That would be bad.

Help Please
Your XP is different from my old Win98, so I'm out of the advice business for those who have the newest program.
One hears a few comments about XP conflicts and wonders if it is true.
