HotSync/Charging Cable Question

Hello,

Does anyone have firm evidence if the HotSync/Charging cable used for the Visor Pro/Prism would work as a just a HotSync cable for the Visor Neo?

Or will the charging components of the cable cause a possible damage issue? Will even HotSync at all?

I have used a Brando Workshops USB Hot-Sync/Charge Cable for my kid's Neo and my wife's Solo several times with no problems being noted.

This was not long-term use, but I did it on a desktop and laptop computer. The Solo was synced every few days for about a month this way and I saw nothing that led me to believe there was a problem- but my wife is a lightweight user of her Solo (which is why she is using it rather than my old Sony N610 which she has no interest in! Some people, huh?)
