This may be a dumb question, but why did Handspring License CDMA technology if they were only going to release a GSM phone, and let another company ship a CDMA based one? This seems like a waste of oney to me unless Handspring has a CDMA phone under developement right now.

A side though to this, did Handspring have to license the GSM technology, and if they did, why didn't we hear wbout it.
