Have my dreams been answered? I am not sure if this is only for the German market now, and the US later, but this is the module I would do anything for!

Yeppers, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for what they release in 9 days. My only question would be what they're defining as PCS. There are several things that could fall under that moniker.

I would bet that by PCS they mean the US version of GSM offered by the likes of Sprint (as opposed to the 'real' GSM offered by Voicestream).

The US might, right now, find a CDMA+GPS unit more useful, although the allegedly imminent deployment of GPRS in various countries bodes well...

This thing looks pretty cool! Unfortunately they really don't have any useful info on their site other than "Only 8 Days until we will launch our GPS/GSM Module."

I guess we all wait. Think about this; we found out about this yesterday and it releases in 8 days... could this be our only shining example of a good marketing and delivery schedule???

1200 bucks! whoa..... even the minstrel is cheaper. Maybe they'll mark it down when they sell it here. Let's wait and see.

for what it's worth, i actually found these guys via handspring's developer page via this discussion a couple of months ago, but didn't go too public with it because their site wasn't yet very informative, and the flap about innogear was just starting to really heat up, and i didn't want to add any fuel to the fire. besides, they're across the pond (from me anyway), so i figured it might take a while to get to thte states... we'll see.

They haven't answer my email queries from last week. We'll know for sure in 8 days, but I'm starting to think this is another Nexian/Navicom/Marcosoft soap opera.

only a week to go now, I wish they would update their website.....

2400DM/1,113.72 USD (see: http://www.xe.net/ucc/convert.cgi ) that's a lot of money.....

I hope they will sell them a bit cheaper... don't a lot of people will pay that much for a sprinboard module....

Actually, news of this springboard was posted back on the VC module board back in early May. I don't think the August 25 date got posted there until recently (I noticed it was missing shortly after the article was put out). Here's a link to the article shown next to the description of the module at that VC page:

Actually, I'd just settle for a GSM data-only module that would be affordable, instead of a hugely expensive everything-and-the-kitchen-sink module like this one.

Okay, it is noon in Germany and there is still no update on that page from them. Tried to contact them but there is no response: I will keep on trying to contact them and post the "result" here. Is that okay with you?

It is not possible to send them an e-mail -- the script gives an internal server error back. :-((((((((

If they only posted a phone number........

I sent them an email the day I opened the topic and I have still to hear anything from them.

Seems like they aren't interested in customer service.

Also, I was looking at the pictures on the site, longing for it.....and I noticed the pictures aren't really 'pictures' they are graphics of what the item may look like.

Bummer....I want this bad, and I have a feeling it is awhile off. Hopefully HS will have a PCS cell phone module soon!
