Exclamation Took apart both of my visors!

What was Handpsring thinking? Putting a little screwdriveer in the stylus? don't they know how tempting that is?

Well...I didn't like my blue face cover so I decided to swap it with my graphite on my older Visor. It actaully looks quite cool, graphite ice. Now my Falsh Module, etc matches. Yeah, that kind of stuff does mattter to me, I am a little strange.

While I had them all apart, I though it would be a good idea to swap screens because my older one has always been more intense than my DLX's. Sooo, as I know nothing of how to take apart and reassemble Visors, I kinda broke a little thingy in the Visor Solo that holds the cable from the screen to the main board . So I decided to stop there and not mess with my DLX's screen at all.

Anyway, the cable still fits in very snug to the connector and seems to be just fine, maybe if I don't shake it too much. It does't really bother me too much, since it's the old one I gave my wife.

Well I hope this has been helpful to anyone thinking of taking that little screwdriver and opening up your Visor. I won't tell you not to, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it either.

Actually, if you know about the little 'cable thingies' in advance and how to deal with them taking apart the Visors is not too bad!

A good site that talks about this is Stephanies Page at http://www.maksystems.com/visor/index.html.

Of course, you should only do this knowing it invalidates the warranty, at your own risk, etc., etc., etc.
