Cool

Ok - so in lie of upgrading to a deluxe (I leave for Europe in 1 day) how can I best use the 8mb module? What I would like to put on it is the Italian dictionary and Citiguide to London. Should one use a utility like Z'catalog to organize the apps and databases? Can one install apps, etc from the desktop directly to the module, or do you have to do the transfer from the visor first?
I think handspring or some good-hearted techie should write and post a good user guide to the module.

I still think it makes sense to have the 8mb module, exactly for things like travel, storing specific apps that one can swap as needed....just like Di, though, I was under the initial impression that it made sense to start with 2mb and expand via the module as needed without any strings attached.

When I installed my Noah dictionary, I took the following steps:
1) Backup the Visor with the Backup Module.
2) Delete stuff like mad until the Noah dictionary fit in RAM
3) Install Noah
4) Set up Noah's defaults
5) Using FileMover, move Noah and the associated program to the Module
6) Restore my RAM from the backup module.

This will be a problem if the Italian dictionary is more than two megs! If it is, you might need to have someone with an 8-meg module set up the dictionary for you.

Personally, I don't.

You need to transfer from the Visor's RAM.

I agree.

That's pretty much how I use it -- I've got my games and toys on one module and my dictionary and work stuff on a second.

Personally, I started with the 8-Meg module after using TRG's FlashPro, which basically used a Palm III's EPROM. So I knew how the Palm OS handled EPROM and wasn't surprised when problems cropped up.
