Question

My wife has a IIIx, my Visor is on its way. I have installed her software on my computer and started to download applications etc. in anticipation of receiving my Visor. Will there be any problem of synching my visor with her Palm software? Thanks.

plenow,

As long as the user name is different many of her registered applications will not work on your machine. It all depends upon the individual software.

As to a software conflict, there are a few check the main page here at VisorCentral for a link to any know conflicts.

I want to be clear...you shouldn't use the Palm desktop software on your machine because you'll need to install the Visor software for the USB support on a Win98 machine. That's about the only difference between the two desktop software applications. If you install the Palm desktop software just to get ready the go ahead and install the Visor software upon it's arrival then install the USB cradle, sync and your on your way to being a Happy Visor customer.

Question

Moose man,

Seems to me that one should be able to sync both the Palm and the Visor from the HS version of Palm Desktop/Hotsync. The system can monitor the serial port and the USB port at the same time, so whichever button gets pushed would get the attention from serial port monitor, I think. Have you ever tried that?
