Talking

According to a review of YadaYada's service that I read on geek.com, the Minstrel S and YadaYada service DO work on the Vsor Deluxe! See for yourself!

yes, but no PQAs

Yes, we know that Minstrel works with VDX, but PQAs will not. Also, Omnisky's config program will not. Theoretically, you could configure an Omnisky-branded Minstrel in Platinum/Prism then use it in your VDX. I tried this, actually, but I think Omnisky may have sent me the wrong activation code (unless the activation codes are platform specific. i.e. a prism activation code versus a platinum activation code), as it kept giving me an error. I will find out tonight (hopefully) when I open up my Prism when I get home.

Smile Decisions, Decisions

Well I've put a lot of thought into this wireless thing. What I've decided is - as much as I'd love yadayada or OmniSky - I love my VDx, and if I'm going to go wireless, I want the whole deal, PQA's and all. The Platinum, cool as it is, isn't worthwhile enough to make me get rid of my VDx. I'm going to wait until I've had my VDx a year, and then get a Prism. And then I'll get OmniSky after that. I don't need to be a "first shot buyer" for this.
