It's funny that I can't post information about BeamCrack on this website, but it's freely available on the website of the L0pht, a subsidiary of @stake, a very prominent internet security firm. I don't think @stake would be more concerned about associating themselves with illegal software than a board like this would, since @stake is actually a legitimate revenue generating business. I think somebody just likes to flex some muscle every now and then, which kinda sucks for the rest of us.

Red face

I for one am thankful that James has taken so much of his time to give us this forum. I have my own domain, and I know how careful I am about putting things up to avoid litigation (sorry, big word for LAWSUIT). Things like PALM hacks, Visor hacks, confidential information on beta products, and the places where you can download the latest gamebot ROMs may be things other anonymous sites or sites with the financial backing to have lawyers on retainor may decide to place on the Web, but I have no problem with James covering his backside to avoid those costs. This is a great site, with tons of valuable information for the Visor community, and if you don't like the editorial policies, find another site to visit!

I agree with adfleisher.

If you know what the stated rules are for this board, then abide by them. If they are too strict or limit your "free speech", then move on.

Would you want this site shut down due to illegal content? I sure as hell dont, and im pretty sure James doesnt, thats why youre not allowed to post about that. And thats why you shouldnt complain.

Exclamation

toddb,

I'm not "flexing any muscle" to make me feel important. If I read a posting that I feel encourages copyright infringement or any other illegal activity, I'm going to edit/delete that posting.
