I recently purchased a Visor Deluxe (Ice) and a Thinmodem . Overall, I am very pleased with the Visor and the modem which uses the Visor's batteries. My only criticism is that the batteries had to be replaced after five days of light use. I noticed that most of the battery drain occurred when I used a Thinmodem 33.6 kbps for Internet connection of 15-20 minutes, two sessions on different days. Is it normal for batteries to drain this soon with the modem in use?

Mine last a week or about that. I use rechargable alkalines though so that might make a little difference, but then again i am not buying batteries every week either

I get more of a drain with the thinmodem module. Usually I can get twelve hours per a set of batteries, but with usage of the thinmodem I get around nine hours per a set. I use Duracell Ultra's.
