Question Screen alignment

I "gently" dropped my Deluxe while it was in the case.

It didn't break the screen but the screen alignment is a little out of whack. Pixles that are on the far left are cut off and there is a little too much white on the right.

Is there any way that I can realign the screen?

Hmm...It sounds like the video cable may be a little loose. If you're brave, you can open up the visor (voiding the warrenty) and check the cable from the screen to the PC board, and tighten it down. But, before that you might want to try a soft reset and, if you have a back up, a hard reset.

Sounds like the plastic pins that hold the screen in place have broke off and the screen have shifted in the case. Your chooses are either:

  • Call Handspring up about a replacement. If your deluxe is still under warranty, this might be the way to go.
  • Open up the deluxe and reset the screen back in place.
