I'm interested in a classic, but rather frivolous question. How do you lug around your Visor or other PDA? Do you carry it in your pants pocket, shirt pocket, Jacket, backpack, or carry it around by hand.

Please post your comments.

I keep it in my jacket's inside pocket, or in my hand when I'm not wearing my jacket (grasped very tightly). I did order a belt clip holster though, but I need to decide how geeky I would feel wearing it on my hip.

I've been carrying my IVDx in a cheap camera case from Wal-Mart on my belt until my Handspring belt-clip case arrives. I've also ordered a Visor Slipper from E&B for those times I want to carry it in my pocket.

I'd keep it firmly attached to my hand if I could... I find it VERY difficult to put this thing down.

Cool

This one's a no-brainer for women! In my purse.

Seems like there are a lot more male PDA owners than women, no?

I used to do the front shirt pocket thing, but I always worried about forgetting and bending over to do something and then....you know. So, now I where it on my belt (RhinoSkin Shocksuit). Yes, it looks geeky. Yes, I get weird looks from my co-workers. Yes, I feel much better about carrying it around now that it's better protected!!

Where I carry my current PDA, is in my bag or my car. I doubt this will change when my visor arrives. And Barbara, I'm a very organized female

I also sport the left front pants pocket for my visor. I'm currently a right front pants pocket wallet kind of guy, so sometimes it looks a little bulgy, but that's what cargo pants are for to wear to work

Left chest jacket pocket. Up here in the PNW, there's not many times when I'm without my jacket until summer comes so it's always with me. It zippers shut so I'm never worried about it flying out and it's waterproof (important in Oregon) so no worries on that front either.

Erm...am I the only one who bought a belt clip case for mine? Anyway, it's geeky I know, but I use a belt clip case - actually a nice Blue (to match my BVD) neoprene case that has abelt loop and an pocket in front for Springboards and cards. It's pretty small and cost me only US$14 - cheap and quite cool looking. The case is actually made for Palms and MiniDisc Players and it works for the Visor just great.

As a DISorganized female that needs all the help she can get , I carry it in my purse the majority of the time. For my job I am usually carrying a big bag of toys into people's homes to work with their babies, and if I leave my purse in my car I just slip it in a side compartment of the toy bag. It is ALWAYS with me.

Hey Ronald,

Sorry, I dunno where you might be able to get it - I live in Malaysia and I got it here for that price. If it's any help to you, you may find it in Hi-Fi shops or places where they sell consumer electronics. Mine had a plastic bag with a picture of a portable Minidisc Player and a Palm III on the cover. Will send you some (rather bad) digital photos if you are interested.

Upper-Left inside pocket of my coat. Provides adequate protection and looks cool when I go to pull it out When I dont have my coat however it's usually in my backpack (in a locked room or in my immediate reach) or my pocket. I never leave it someplace where another person can get to it.

I carry my BVD in a Covertec belt case.

When I originally got it (bought it to use with my Pilot) I was worried about looking too dorky. Then I got too thinking about people who wear their cell phones on their belts. I don't think I look any dorkier. I look even less dorky than those who wear their cell phones on their belts and have earpiece mikes dangling.

Cool

Well, just call me "Super Geek".
I wear mine in a Landware BurroPak. ( http://www.landware.com )
In case you haven't seen one, it is a kind of shoulder holster for a PDA/Cellphone. Makes you look like James Bond.

Why?
[1] I'm paranoid about morons bumping into a Visor in a belt clip and cracking the screen. A BurroPak puts it under my arm for extra protection.
[2] It looks cool. And since I habitually wear black T-shirts, it actually isn't too noticeable.
[3] I don't want my Visor getting too cold this winter. Bad for the screen. This way, it is under my coat, snug and warm. The same argument applies when it rains.

I carry mine in a 3Com Palm III Belt Clip Case (available at CompUSA and, maybe, Best Buy). Geeky? Not really. (Well, maybe. So what?)
