Question Losing Alarms that expire during HotSync

I rebuilt my Prism from a hard reset 2 weeks ago. (Some beta testing I had done had overwritten at least one app, so I reloaded everything from scratch instead of using Backup Buddy.)
Now, if I am doing a HotSync when an alarm expires, I never get the alarm. Did I miss a configuration option someplace? I don't remember this behaviour from previously.
I have a 5 o'clock VanPool to catch and so set a 5:00 pm to 5:00 pm appointment with a 5 minute before alarm. I'm often hot-syncing last thing in the day when this alarm should go off. When I am, it doesn't. When I'm not, it does. I if doesn't, I never get notified of it, even when other alarms go off.

Any illumination would be appreciated.
