without doing a search (because i'm not really sure the best way to narrow it down, frankly) -- i happen to have an extra usb cradle but, i'd like to attach it to a machine with a serial port. am i better off just buying the serial cradle, or is there an adapter out there to fit my needs... also, what's the current status of serial cables? anything going on there? maybe that's the way to go.

lastly, this very well may be my first foray into syncing with both a windows (at work -- the serial) machine and a mac (at home, the much more comfy usb). any advice there?

vpl, dell latitude with windows 98 at work, imac at home; for those who may find it interesting and/or useful.
