I saw this: http://shop.brando.com.hk/usbchargercable.php

Is this a cable that will charge the Visor via the USB port? Has anyone used it?

It doesn't seem to have anyway to disable the USB charging option like the Palm V model they show.

I saw a cable like that for the Visor, it supposedly worked as a normal hotsync cable for visors but if you have a prism it would also charge off of USB for you. I wouldn't want this cuz I don't think you should be drawing that much power off of your USB port. I think I saw it on ebay today. Or maybe it was yahoo auctions.. I'll look around some more. If I find it i'll post a link.

I think I saw something like this at Buy.com, but I'm not sure...because of the lack of info.

POWER SYNC HV SYNC & CHARGE CBL FOR HANDSPRING VISOR PRISM

That's a whole lot cheaper than a USB cradle...I'd sure like to know how long it takes to charge compared to a cradle. It looks like the same product that is for sale on Buy.com

The one at Brando is cheapest. But the picture doesn't show the indicator.

Also, does any one of these turn off the charge (don't want to charge when I'm running my laptop battery.)

USB shuts down the port if you draw too much power. You're allowed 500mA per port on powered hubs, a bus powered hub will share the 500mA it gets between itself and its ports (so for a 4 port bus powered hub you get ~100mA per port).

Kev.

There is another one here" http://www.pdasia.com/en/cart/prod_html/usbsync.shtml

But it doesn't seem to give much detail. Why don't they sell this stuff in the US?

One thing for sure, is that it will take a lot longer to charge the Prisms battery. Instead of 30-45 minutes, it would probably take >2 hours.. Or so you would think...
