Talking What is the Stupiest Thing you have done for your Visor?

Well, Today I did the stupiest thing ever. I waited for a friend that was supposed to arrive at 9am and he came at around 9:40. The problem was that I was supposed to be at work at 10am and it takes me an hour to get there. By the time I got to the bus stop I realized that I've forgot my Prism at home. I said "no way, I have to get it even if I'm really late for work." I walked like 5 big blocks just to get my Visor.

I must love this thing very much to do all these things.

If you are wondering why I waited for the guy so much it is because he was paying me some money.

So, What have you done for your Visor?

Al

I guess my story would be similar. I arrived at work one morning and realized I had forgotten my trusty VDx. I turned around and drove back home (15 miles and rush hour traffic) just to get it. When my wife realized what I was doing, she just laughed. I can't go anywhere with my Visor... I even carried it to the beach on vacation in Cape Cod this past summer.

By the way... I wouldn't classify these as stupid...

hmm - I don't do stupid things (ha! like hell I do)

no, seriously the stupidest thing IMHO is going through airport security or COMDEX, and having to empty all my pockets of my liek 5 poudns of accesories, and open everything up, and explain what everything is..

I've NEVER forgotten my visor ever.. Hopefully I never do - must be that youngin mind

Constantly being 15 minutes late everywhere so I can get that last hotsync in (because I know I got at least 50 emails and the weather forcast changed dramatically in the half hour since I synced last).

Well, I have forgotten it and gone back for it (something I don't often do for my beeper!)

I took it on vacation, even to the beach. Loaded it with a buncha travel software that was really, really handy! Used the eyemodule for candid photos, even in places marked 'no photos'- oops!

I have spent WAY too much money for accessories and software.

Probably the stupidest things I have done with it were:

1.) Went for a time with no screen protector and picked up a scratch too small to send back for repair, but big enough to drive me bonkers, and now have some hazing in the Grafitti area...

2.) Use it without a case and had 'close call'-type drops (and yet, I still sometimes carry it in just the slip case and use it 'naked'!)

3.) Tend to keep it close to me when I really don't need it- such as by my bed when I don't have any alarms set on it (well, I might wake up and want to play a game or record an idea) or when I am showering, etc.

4.) Spent too much money on stuff for it (my wife's #1 choice!)

I was on a two week business trip through europe - waited till the last minute to change my batteries and lost everything before I got a fresh set in.

Even though I had everything backed up on my laptop - it was a lot of hassle - my whole itinerary and stuff - booting up my laptop constantly.

It was either buy.com or amazon.com, I can't remember which now. But one of them shipped out of the UK - I had to go through crazy back channels and pay an exorbitant shipping fee to have a "travel cable" mailed to me. In hindsight, I probably could've just had my secretary send me the cradle off my desk...

Amazing thing, I still don't own a backup module!
