Question

In June I'll have the first real test of needing computing power on the road. Of course I'm not-so-anxiously awaiting the release of the six-pack (with the rest of you) and know that it will solve all my travel concerns (until a WIRELESS springboard is released!). Now, however, I find that I can replace the dead harddrive on my 5-year-old WinBook DX-4/75 (32mb RAM) for $260. (Of course we expect the six-pack to go for about $200)

Since I can really only justify the purchase of ONE of the items in the next couple of months, which would you advise that I choose?

Thanks for your wisdom!

I'm not sure that I'd be up for spending anything on a 486 class laptop - - and I use one too! However, the SixPak isn't due until summer - - if I read the Pres. of Innogear's interview here on VC correctly. Yeah. I think he did say something about underpromising; but given that they aren't shipping anything yet . . . and given that the the InfoMitt and MiniJam are in line ahead of the SixPak I think you can safely get that harddrive.

Unhappy

Thanks for the update. I'd missed that they've pushed the release of the six-pack back so far. But then, that's why I turned to my friends in Visordom, right?!

It's incredible how these machines go out of date isn't it? As something to carry arond for occasional use though, the old 486 still does well. But it's no Visor!

Thanks again.
