Apparently, OmniSky DOES work with Deluxe!

I just spoke to a rep at YadaYada (after a tremendously long wait) and asked about OmniSky. He says that since both use the same service, both are compatible with Deluxe, you just have to tell OmniSky that you are using a Prism or Platinum or whatever or they won't sell the service to you.

Also - very important for those considering YadaYada and who read this right away - the website at YadaYada.com has a glitch, or rather, an incorrect pricing structure for their service. For a 6-month contract, you are supposed to get your modem for $30.00, but not for the month-to-month plan. Well, the glitch is that the month-to-month plan also has this $269.00 credit toward the modem, so your total cost for the modem is $30.00 with no contract! I spoke to the rep about this and he said they didn't notice it and will be changing it immediately. Luckily I printed all the pages out through the entire shopping cart checkout. In any case, if you want YadaYada, do it NOW!

the novatel modem works with OS 3.1, but the software on the Omnisky version requires 3.5, so it won't work with a deluxe.
