Question

I am using a handspring deluxe running version 3.0.1H of the Palm OS. I have no hacks installed currently and I am using datebook 4 and have my handspring setup to sync with my netscape address book. The problem I have run into is that any information in my "note" area of the address application has turned into a rectangular box. In addition, whenever I attempt to input information, either thru graffiti or keyboard, it only writes creates the same rectangles. I have been unable to find any reference to this problem anywhere and I am uncertain when it began. I do know that this was not a problem when I first received my handspring. On the palm website I did find reference to a similar sounding problem occuring in email. It was recommended that the preferences file in the backup directory be deleted. However this did not resolve the problem. Has anyone experienced and/or found a solution for this problem?

This sounds like the type of note you get in Datebk4 whenever you set up a link or a specific feature only found in Datebk4.

Try uninstalling Datebk4 (i know HUGE hassle considering all the catagories, etc. that you've probably created) and then check if everything is working fine ....

there is a special way of deleting Datebk4 so that all your appointments don't get screwed up. Check out the site for Datebk4 before deleting it for info on how to do this (it took me a bit to get everything straightened out after deleting it on my visor).

Otherwise, i've never heard of this problem before.
