I just finished ordering my handspring. I was told by the sales guy that the visor's usb cradle will not work with win95. I assume this is a microsoft bug. Does anyone know if this is true?

I would hardly call it a bug. Windows 95 was well along before anyone had a whiff of USB; the first specification for it was published in early '96. Hence support for USB under W95 is spotty at best.

W95 release version 2.1 offered USB services -- but according to MS' docs it was only part of the OEM releases, so you would have gotten it only on a computer with Windows 95 preinstalled.

Some later versions of W95 supposedly do support USB, but these are spotty at best... my dad had to end up installing W98 to get USB to work, even though his version of W95 was supposed to work.

Best bet: get W98.

Cool

My system runs on Win95-and it has USB support. Of course the system is brand new, and came with Windows preinstalled-latest version. I am sure that micorosoft has some USB updates for Win95 on their web page(s)-you could probably find it somewhere.
