Old visor will not sync after getting new Neo

My old Visor will not sync after getting my new Neo. I installed the software that came with the Neo on my computer and the Neo sync's just fine. I did a hard reset on my old visor and now it will not sync with the computer. Please help! My wife was looking forward to her new PDA.

Possible Problem and Solution

I am not sure if this will help, but if you are syncing to Outlook, the free version of Pocket Mirror only supports one user per profile. If you check the sync log for the old visor, it should give you a message about the problem -- something about sync failing and that you may have renamed your visor. All you have to do is create a new profile in outlook and tell pocket mirror to sync to that profile. If you want both visors to sync to the same profile, you need to "professional" version of pocket mirror apparently. Instructions for both procedures are on the www.chapura.com site.

Is the HotSync starting at all? Are you getting any kind of error messages?

If you're using the Palm Desktop, you can try setting up a new user by going to Tools, Users... HotSync might be getting confused due to the existing user already being established.

Another option to try is remove the batteries from the VDx overnight so that it fully erases itself and then try again.

I am using Palm Desktop 4.01. The log just says the following: "Never Synchronized". I will give removing the batteries a try.

Thanks,

Smile

It worked. I did another hard reset and took the batteries out for a while and now the old visor sync's.
