Check out EyeCamera This is sweeet!! Eyecamera is the palm application program which can take a photo easily using the eyemodule2 by Blocks Products.
Even if you don't have eyemodule2,you can use eyecamera as a photo album application with eyemodule2 conduit.

eyecamera features:

Takes a palm-size(160x120 pixels) photo with your favorite frame. (this works only on Handspring Visor Prism)
(If your Palm device is not Prism, you can take a photo without a frame)

Since eyecamera saves the photo data in eyemodule2 database, you can also browse them on eyemodule2 application and transfer them to PC.

Supports eyecamera plugin to add many features on eyecamera.

This package includes EyeCaptureDA. EyeCaptureDA can capture any screen image on any Palm application. you can save the screen image in eyemodule2 database.

It says you need OS ver. 3.5.
I'm still on my HSVD.
Also, the app's not by Blocks, as the description kind of implies. (Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see lots of dev. dev. apps for the E.M., but I doubt any apps that came from Blocks would forget HSVD users.)
Thx for the tip anyway...

I don't get it. Why would I need additional software to take pictures with my Eyemodule2? It already comes with software for taking pictures.

For those of you who don't check out the SW, it allows you to put a photo in a frame (prism only) and appears to allow you to write on the photo.

Thank you for talking about this. Im the one developping eyecamera.
Since some people don't know what eyecamera is for, let me explain.

Have you heard "Prikura" or "Print Club" ? That's the first reason Im developping eyecamera.
"Print Club" is a kind of arcade machine. It puts your/your friends' picutre in a funny graphic or cartoon frame,
and creates sheets of thumbnail-sized pictures in the form of stickers. It has been a big hit in Japan.
Check people's cell phone in japan, you can find small stickers. that's "Prikura" stickers.
http://www.printclub.ne.jp/ranking/top.htm
http://news.gamespot.com/news/98_01/08_atlus/index.html
http://jin.jcic.or.jp/kidsweb/cool/97-4-6/purikura.html

And next, the eyemodule default app has still few features.
So I wanted to add something to resolve this restriction.
Using eyecamera plug-ins, you can add many features such as,
sending eyemodule2 image via e-mail or ftp, import/export from/to ImageViewer format,
Change contrast or brightness of image, etc..
(I haven't finished to develop all the plugins though...)

Also, the eyecamera package has a screen capture tool to capture screen image on PalmOS.
My recomendation is, draw picture on your favorite drawing/painting app, capture it into eyemodule2 by this tool.

That's all I want to do! Thanks!

It sounds interesting, I have not tried it as I am waiting for my Platinum and Eyemodule 2. I would like to see the frames function on the Platinum. Also what does the photo scribble do? Allow you to write on photos?

eyemodule2 keeps two kinds of images. One is palm-sized(160x120) image, the other is VGA jpeg (640x480).
The palm-sized image is PalmOS internal memory image. On the other hand, the VGA image is jpeg formated image.
Since palm-sized image is PalmOS internal display memory image, it's easy to add frames. That's why eyecamera supports only palm-sized image to add photos in frames.
On Prism the palm-size photos are color pics, but on Platinum those are monochrome pics. (Only VGA-size photo are color image on Platinum and Edge.)
I thought people does not want to take monochrome photos so often, that's why I did not implement the monochrome frame feature.
If you want, I am willing to implement it for monochrome device for next release.
Without frame feature, you can still enjoy the other features, plug-ins and capturing screen on Platinum.

As you expected,
Scribble Plugin allows you to add text and paint photos.
I will add more plug-ins to extend current eyemodule2! Do you have any ideas ?

Hello okamo:

One feature I'm looking for is a Polaroid-style frame: a white border at the bottom of the picture that would make room for a short note using the Visor's standard typefaces rather than longhand (which takes up more space). Does EyeCamera or the Scribble plugin allow this?

You can create whatever you want for frame !

Create any 160x120 jpeg frame image on PC and install it using EyeDrop desktop progoram included in eyemodule2 package.
After installing the frame image on Palm, setup the image for frame image on eyecamera.
And should be all set.
Please check the manual in the eyecamera zip file.

Since you know the ins and outs of the eyemodule2 database do you think it would be possible to write an application that will allow a user to export images from the eyemodule database to one on a flash module or CF card, especially the JPEG images, and then have another PC based program to open the database? Then we can have really unlimited storage for the eyemodule instead of being constrained by our internal memory...

*hoping*

Yup if they open the API spec to access to those cards.
Also, this can be one candidate of eyecamera plug-ins!

Okamo, and other devs:
Please try to support the 1 million VDX users out there using OS 3.x.
I hope I speak for the entire Visor community when I say we are thankful and anxious for your efforts in supporting the Visor, be it via SW, EM2 or any and all of the above.
But please try to support us all, if you can.
Thx.

Yup! I started to develop something for all Handspring models for eyemodule2! It will be included in eyecaemra package or released separately. Thanks!
