Lost data recovery - need help

Guys,

I synched to my Outlook in Windows 2K. Even though I had the "handheld overwrites desktop" checked, Outlook overwrote the PDA. and I lost a bunch of stuff.

I have a good Memo, Address, Calendar and To Do data files on another machine running the Palm Desktop.

The problem is that the desktop on my other machine is only recognizing the new overwirtten files.

I tried replacing the newly created folders with the copies of the previous original files, but the desktop reverts to the new ones. It does not seem to recoginze the old files.

They are not archieved or locked.

Is there a trick or work around?
