Unhappy

Unfortunately, either my install CD is missing the .inf for the Visor, or somehow it wasn't installed correctly. I searched through the CD, and it didn't appear to be on there ANYWHERE!

If anyone would take the time to email me the driver, I'd be eternally grateful. This is killing me....and handsprings lack of customer service is truly legendary. Their customer and technical support lines don't even work.

Once you install the software for your Visor, the appropriate .inf file will be installed in your Windows directory. On reboot, the new "Visor device" will be detected or, if you already have a "?" device when running Device Manager, click on it and tell it to update the driver.

Unfortunately, my system didn't find the driver anywhere on the cd....not sure if this is an Windows98 OSR2 problem or not, but the net result is I can't really use my Visor. Pretty depressing. If someone could email me the .inf, I'd be forever grateful...

mycroft,

are you using 95 or 98? if you're using 95...forget it. upgrade to 98/98SE.

i tried to get the visor to work with 95b and had no luck. the driver would install when the visor was placed on the cradle and the hotsync button pressed, but no matter what, the visor and pc would not talk to one another.

I think the missing .inf file may be my problem too. Could Visor Central post this file as a download? Or could Handspring do this? Anyway, If anyone is mailing this, please send it to me as well.
