Does anyone know how to tell if the battery needs to be replaced on the visor prism? I wonder if that's what's causing my backlight to no longer work?

You might want to try a soft reset to see if that helps.

Handspring Visor Prism: no backlight!
Hi and thanks so much for your suggestion. I did try a soft AND a hard reset, several times: no luck. The screen remains dark. I can see faintly that there are letters on the screen, so it doesn't seem to be a power/battery problem, after all, just something to do with whatever the mechanism is for backlighting the screen. Any other ideas? Thanks so much
