removing software

So I downloaded some software before realizing that there is no way for my deluxe to acutally rung it (it's os 3.5). How on earth do I delete it?

(yes I'm very new to all this....as is eveidenced by the fact that I just bought this visor

Tap the Menu icon from any launcher screen.
Select Delete... from the App menu.
Find and select the app in the resulting list.
Tap the Delete... button.
