Question

Anyone else having this problem?
Everytime I insert/remove my modules (Backup, MiniJam), the Visor freezes and I have to soft reset.. It's a little frustrating having to go thru this everytime..

Clues?

Make sure you exit to the launcher before removing a springboard. There is also a hack that screws up the backup module. Can't remember the name of it, but it is mentioned on Handspring's web site. Make sure you have the latest update patch on your Visor. Shut down the minijam (holding the small round button on the right when looking at the screen) before removing.

Do you have Switchhack on your Visor? Removing the Backup Module will crash your Visor if you have Switchhack installed.

Phlegm Hack is essentially identical to Switchhack and does not conflict with the Backup Module.

neither/nor

Thanks for the feedback, but neither of your suggestions fit.

The Visor crashes regardless of where I am (i.e. not in the module app), and I don't have either of those hacks loaded..
however, that does leave me wondering if some of the newer hacks are responsible (ALways blame the new guy.. everything was fine until HE showed up..) The only 'new' hack I've installed is TealLaunch.. Heard anything bad about this? Teal's usually on the ball with their apps..

Biggest thing is to exit everything.. (IE press the "home" button) next, chekc out http://www.visorcentral.com/page/0-2-746-2.htm for some helpful tips, and than utilze them..

THink I got it...

After some experimenting, I discovered that TealLaunch is apparently the culprit.. disabled it, no hangups unloading modules, reenabled it, inserted a module, freeze...

Hafta let Teal know about this one..

Thanx for the support!

Backup module freeze fix

What works for me to stop a freeze when I've backed up (and am removing my module so as to keep it elsewhere) is to press the hard datebook button, not just go back to the "home" button.

Talking

Thanks for the tips! I, too, have been having the same fatal errors when removing my backup module.
