Painting the visor faceplate...

I'm wondering, has anyone painted the plastic faceplate of the Visor? I'd like to make my Visor silver, and thought of painting it. Any problems with the paint wearing off? Any precautions I should take when taking off the faceplates?

its been discussed before. do a search. clean the faceplat w/alcohol and dont touch it before you pint it. use laquer.
