Get a (battery) life!

Last month (after much delay) I upgraded from a VDX to a VPL. One thing I noticed is that, with the best of alkaline batteries, I got maybe eight days from a set of batteries. My 700 amp NiMh batteries lasted about five days.

Not only is my VPL better with battery life, my battery indicator hasn't moved off full charge since I got it! The synchs are way faster, I assume due to the processing power of the newer Dragonball processor. But I hadn't appreciated that the unit would be more energy efficient.

Has anyone else had the same experience?
