Is there a way to repeat, on a bi-weekly basis, events that are two days in duration?

For example, every other weekend I have an event that lasts for 3 days. How can I automate this entry?

Using your example (and I'm adding to it-- using a concrete example of making it start on Friday, July 28 and ending on Sunday, July 30, repeating every other week), here's one way of doing it:

Original DateBook

1) Create one appointment starting on Friday, July 28.

2) Set the time duration, if necessary.

3) View the Event Details for that appointment.

4) Change the repeat value from Week on the top of the screen.

5) Change the value of "Every ___ Week(s)" from "1" to "2". This will make this event a bi-weekly event.

6) Leave the "End on:" to the default of "No End Date".

7) Look at the "Repeat on:. It should have Friday selected. Go ahead and select Saturday. But do not select Sunday.

8) Tap OK.

Right now, you have created a bi-weekly event on Friday, July 28 and next day-- Saturday, July 29. But why not select Sunday, the 30th as well on Step 7? On the original DateBook, if you did that, the Sunday that is chosen will be a week later-- August 6. Try it, you'll see.

So, create another appointment on Sunday, July 30, then follow steps 2 through 6 and #8.

DateBook+/DateBk3

If you did the above with DB+ or DB3, you'll get the same results. But there's one feature that will allow you to create one appointment using the above criteria...

1) First, change the week start day in "Options-Preferences" from the default "Sunday" to "Monday".

2) Next, create one appointment starting on Friday, July 28.

3) Set the time duration, if necessary.

4) View the Event Details for that appointment.

5) Change the repeat value from Week on the top of the screen.

6) Change the value of "Every ___ Week(s)" from "1" to "2". This will make this event a bi-weekly event.

7) Leave the "End on:" to the default of "No End Date".

8) Look at the "Repeat on:. It should have Friday selected. Go ahead and select Saturday and Sunday. Note how the days in the week are presented-- with the day of the week starting on Monday instead of Sunday, this apparently forces a different treatment on the days selected.

9) Tap OK.

Now, you have created a bi-weekly event on Friday, July 28, the next day-- Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, the 30th. You can then change the week start day back to Sunday at this point.
