Can anyone tell if the Edge's hotsync connector is the same as the VDX hotsync connector? I ask because if I upgrade, I'd like to be able to use my VDX-to-Motorola Startac cable with the Edge.

Also, after having looked at the new Palminfocenter photos of the Edge, I must say I'm beginning to like the design, especially the ATTACHED flip cover!

No, the EDGE has a 12 pin hotsync connector. Nobody knows why, it's jsut there. (yet)

I BELIVE it's there because the extra pins, are for electro-magnetics that hold it on the hotsync stand.. hehe



I agree, the lbue one is SOO COOL! I now really like it. (erailer I thought it was really ugly!)

Extra pins...

The reason for the extra pins are mentioned by emeyer, the same guy who thought up the idea of what the Visor Twist is. Probably RS232 pins that may be needed to build a Palm-to-Visor adaptor for accesories
