Great news about being able to convert any TrueType font!

Cool

Oh, man! Where do I sign?
The older version of WordSmith was a polished product at a nice price. This new one is just too spiffy for words. I want it NOW!

Just how big is 2.0 though? At 400K+, 1.x is already quite hefty. Not that I'm complaining...

the latest beta of Wordsmith that I have is 450 KB sorry guys. plus you have to have a couple of fonts for FineType, and that adds some.

But still. I think that it's worth it. IMHO they have kept the size down very nicely - your tryign to put MSWord(the blaoted ugly thing) onto a Visor, in a small package - of course it's going to be somewhat big.

This is a killer program, too bad to make the most of it I need an n710c... For now I'll just stick with my PocketWord/Cligrapher setup, the truth is that with the execption of screen size they are virtualy identical feature wise.

Related to this article: It's very nicely edited, don't you think?

Miradu, since this is a beta test, didn't you have to sign a NDA? (Non-disclosure agreement)

Well.. I should of.. and from the e-mails I got

quote:
CONFIDENTIAL AND PROPRIETARY

but I got premission form Blue Nomad to write about it for Visorcentral.. etc.. I got to say whateverI wanted! (well DUH!)

Other beta testers are under an NDA. I'm on a half NDA. I guess now that the articles done I shouldn't be talkign about it as much, but I will answer the questions that come up.

BTW, it's very good

In my experience, companies tend not to complain too much if you violate their NDA to say great things about their product.

Keep up the good work. I'm really counting on the new version to remove some of my Sony Clie envy. The one thing I would really want the new color Sonys for is to read e-books, and it sounds like that won't be as big an issue with the new version.

Before the Clie fans chime in, I know, I know, WS 2 will look even better on a Clie, but I'd be happy with just some improvement on my Prism.

You mean you can just press tab? TAB alone? No Fn? No Fn TAB? Is that so? If so, WOOHOO !

If not , then, why not?
